Loe Shimmy’s Rockstar Junkie is a bold and emotionally charged statement from one of Florida’s most intriguing rising artists. Known for his gritty authenticity and melodic delivery, Shimmy delivers a tightly packed four track project that does not waste a second. From the moment the opening track Permanent Scarz hits, it is clear this EP is about pain, perseverance, and raw storytelling.
The production throughout Rockstar Junkie blends melodic trap with moody synths and atmospheric beats that elevate Shimmy’s unique vocal cadence. Each track captures a different emotion, from the haunting vulnerability of You Decide to the cinematic and clever Tubi Movie, a standout that showcases his ability to turn trauma into captivating bars.
The closer Two Faced, featuring YTB Fatt, adds a gritty Southern bounce to the project. Their chemistry is strong, and the track feels like a perfect ending to a short, intense ride. Shimmy never tries to do too much, and that control works in his favor. He lets the pain bleed through the lyrics without overcomplicating the message.
What makes Rockstar Junkie so effective is how personal it feels. Shimmy sounds like someone who has been through real struggles but still finds beauty in the chaos. This project is a window into the mind of an artist who is balancing trauma, ambition, and reflection without losing his edge.
At just four songs, Rockstar Junkie leaves you wanting more, but in the best way. Loe Shimmy continues to prove he has the voice, vision, and versatility to stand out in a crowded field.
